PRO GAY ARTICLE BROUGHT HIM HARD KNOCKS

Few weeks back, a friend and brother was fishing in troubled waters for over 4 days and got terribly battered by a lot of friends, foes and men of religion. My guess; the only company he may have enjoyed would be that of the direct beneficiaries of his preposition. He had his logic. Unfortunately however, irrespective of the strength or weakness of his logic, majority of his critics prefer the philosophical jargon thus: 'in matters of faith, reason goes to exile'.

What was the noise about? He posted an article on the facebook page that indirectly suggests support for  homosexuality. Is it wrong stand to take? Well, I live the answer blowing in the wind.

On the contrary, from what i understood of his perspective, he repudiates the diversionary  impressions people have towards gay people. According to him, he hates it when people pretend to be good by segregating against those who have gay sexual orientation. From being  referred to as 'one of them' to being asked to make public his sexual orientation, he received one of the most antagonistic reaction I have ever witnessed on any social forum, be it virtual or online.

Seeing what he went true, is it a good idea for me to post a related article on my page? I guess it is the right thing to do. As a person, I strongly stand against homosexuality in any shape it may take. My repugnance is not base on any religious or psycho-social influence. No! I stand against homosexuality because it is by nature an abnormality. When people realize that they have kleptomanic trait they seek medical attention, likewise those who have pedophilic trait. These are abnormalities and those who possess then seek medical attention for possible correction. I really don't believe that medical attention is recommended to these people only base on the negative impact of their trait on the society if uncontrolled but also for the fact that they are abnormalities in themselves.

On the contrary, homosexuality and their proponents and defendants refuse to acknowledge that it is an abnormality to accept such orientation as well as to try to coerce people to believe that by the law of freedom of choice they prefer like-sex to opposite sex. In my personal opinion, it is against nature to accept homosexuality as a valid sexual orientation.

Be that as it may, I really want to disagree in strong words with all the people who were criticizing my friend for being too vocal about such a sensitive subject. His central point of view ( which was neglected) was 'acceptance of the homosexuals as humans who should be threated like one'.  I think it is wrong to dehumanize gay people because of the choice to be gays, especially, those who found themselves in the situation by nature. It is different from those who make this choice for pleasure sake. No one has the moral monopoly to stigmatize anyone else base on his/her choice or base on his or her being a minority.

What I am saying is clear. Whether gay or straight, whether Bi sexual or heterosexual, whether kleptomanic or pedophilic, all of us are one. We can influence more change by bringing people closer in love than we can influence by ostracizing them irrespective of our reasons.

It Is One Love, It is One Heart and It is One People.
