THE PEACE RELIGION ALONE CANNOT GIVE

RELIGION ALONE BRINGS NO PEACE

Here is the peace religion alone cannot give : Religion alone cannot bring understanding among people of different faith but religion with God and us can

Religion is described as the belief in and worship of a supernatural/superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. Down the history lane, many religions have been at the centre of virtually everything even the running of the affairs of countries. 

From the revolutionary discovery by Bacon that it is the sun and not the earth that is at the centre of the universe; nothing has ever been the same. That alone divorced science form religion . The battle against the dominance of religious authority over science and vice versa ever since was not the only battle that there was. The main battle was the battle of supremacy between one religion and another and even worse, the battler of domination and control between factions under the same religion.

                                          

In the recent days religious men do not only kill their members but even those honestly in need of help or protection. Religion kill people by grooming men and women who are ready to kill (of course in the so called "name of God"). I do not want to talk about the brainwashing by some preachers of every religion. Every day and night, people of religion kill others, including innocent children in the name of purification of the unbelievers or to "please God". It doesn't matter if God wants it or not. 

The Question is, do we need religion to have peace? 

Absolutely not! We do not need religion to have peace and to love. We do, however, need God to have peace. Yes. Even though the words of Friedrich Nietzsche that modernism and rationalism have killed God in the hearts of modern men makes more now than when it was first said, the truth is that God is the conscience of the society. 

What actually do I mean?

What I am saying is that this is the time to move every religion out of the way and bring God forward instead. I mean it is time to replace religion with love and sharing because religion offers only division and institutionalization of these divisions. On the contrary, Love and sharing make God real among humans even among those who would rather not believe in anything.

Come to think of it, every religious practice and teaching is a springboard of the religious institution that teaches it. The trick in this is, every religious teaching has elements of self-preservation hidden under its faith propagation. 

On the contrary, love and sharing are exclusively independent of any institution. Not religion, not, sports, not politics and not science. They are more universal and God is universality per excellence.  Simply put, religion limits whereas love and sharing do not. I do not mean to say that religion is wrong. NO!! I mean that religion separates us more than it unites us and as such lacks the condtio sine qua non for peace. 

A typical example is this, The Muslims believe that only the believers in the Prophet Mohammed will go to paradise and Christians believe that only the believes in Christ will go to heaven and the result is division. However, both religions believe that it is godly to Love and to share.

FINALLY

The bottom line is that, Religion gives not peace but God does. Be that as it may, it is time for believers to live above just the dictates of their religious faith and do what pleases God instead. Go about and Love and Share because these are the only factors that will bring peace and unity to the world. Don't forget that the religious institutions are also part of believing in God as long as we are not thought to harm others in anyway.

WHEN YOU MUST LET GO

There are times in life when you sincerely believe that you must pay in and let go. Yes; That you must take action, that you must save yourself, that you must change the direction of your destiny or those of your loved ones.

There are times when you are wholesomely convinced that the only way to make that needed difference in the life of your loved ones is to let go. There are times when this is absolutely true. Yet, it takes a lot of strength to get to that point especially when you strongly believe that there is more left to be fought for.

Halo! What if there is nothing left to fight for after all? What if it has been all an illusion from get go? What if it has been a dream that you thought you have woken from long, long ago?  I mean, what if it never existed in the first place? There are what ifs and what ifs and what ifs, yet, it all borders down on; are you ready to take that leap of faith. It is a leap of faith because you are only in control of your jumping but not in the least in control of your landing. But, because it is the road that you MUST take, you must have to take that leap anyway.

You Know, most times I sit and ponder why We get depressed. I have read bunch and bunch of stuffs from 'Those Who Know Book' about the causes of depression but i have never really found out what in particular they are talking about. Well, I have my own idea why. Yes, We get depressed because we are suck in our imaginations, we are stuck in the middle of no way with no signs for help.

I do not have a solution to this problem but I have a suggestion. When you are depressed, it is time to let go. When you are depressed, it is time to free your imaginations. When you are depressed, it is time to fill your life with new stuffs. It is time to change the cause of your journey.
It is time to reach out and find where you deviated and let go. Yes, and you must Let go and move faster. Without freeing your imagination, without letting go, how can you take in things that will make you lighten up again? Hard choice but the only good one.

I am not an authority in this case, but come-on! do I need to be an authority to know that I should eat when I am hungry and there is food available? You don't need to be an authority to know that it is time for you to go home after work do you? I am sure that you do not need to be an authority to know that you have come to a time that you must take that turn.

I mean you Must learn to let go because sometimes, even what you are holding so tight may not  belong to you after all.

WHEN TO LET GO

What a difficult time and space. When must we let go? You must let go before the odds turn against you. You must let go when the only way things around feel is like an empty dream. You must let go when the only thing you see is darkness and a little room that keeps narrowing towards you. You must let go when you feel suffocated. You must let go when holding on isn't doing you any good at all.
Even if there is no reason at all before you, you must know that there is a time WHEN YOU MUST LET GO.

YOU ARE A JUDGE IN YOUR CASE THIS YEAR

What is you are to set your re-seat exam this year, would you let yourself fail again?

what if you are to be your own boss, would you let your company go broke?

What if you are in the heart of the woman you love, would you screw the relationship?

what if you are to restart your business this year, would you let it crash one more time?

What if you were jailed wrongfully, would you find yourself guilty on the same situation if you were the judge?

What if your only beloved child is dying, would you watch him or her die because you are saving money for a vacation?

What if this New year is a direct repetition of the last one, would you let yourself repeat your previous mistakes?

what if your answers are all no, are you ready to take your destiny into your hands this year and get

WE MUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Many things come with their own levels of ambiguity but, one  thing I am sure of is that one day the accusers will be accused

One day those who think that they are better will see that they are as good as others or even worse

One day those who attack will be under attack and  One day people will come from the east and the west and all the corners of the earth to profess one religion – religion of love

One day those who are oppressed will learn to stand up for their rights and not beg for it.  I am sure, Very-very sure, that one day the sons of the rich will dine and wine with the sons of the poor with no one looking down on the other

 One day those who kill for material things will die for material things One day and yes, one good day, people who struggle to be loved will see people struggling to love them. One day we shall all be free, the free and the slaves alike

One day and one beautiful day, we shall realize that what keep us together is one love and one heart no matter what religion or political view we may have One day,

Yes one day, we shall profess one faith a world that has one red blood flowing through everyone, white and black alike I don’t know for sure when that day will be for everyone else but for me, that day begins today and moves on every day of my life

Just Another Year

In just three days, the year 2014 will have its last say in our life. What is left of it will be committed to history. Except if there is an unexpected miracle, our year has been long defined even before this week but who says last miracle never exists? I do not know how the year has been for you but for me, it has been full of symbolic re-awakening events. Most of them left me broken where as an absolute majority of them made me to feel that after all, it is only a dead fish that follows the flow all the time. However the year has been for you, the most important factor is that if you are alive till the next four days, you have been offered an undeserved second chance to make good your short comings or to better your best. If you Seize this opportunity, a milestone has been reached. Otherwise, this time next year will see you at exactly the same spot, that is if you do not retrogress. Three days ago, I had a heated faith-based discussion with two Nigerians and it all bothers on trying to integrate our "City of God" instinct with the "City of the world" demands. My point is, most of the so called Christians are yet to understand that being a born again or child of God is not being a Christian and Being a Christian is nothing but being a Christian- thus Living a lifestyle in the mode of Christ Himself. SO, if we live a different life style, then our whole identity has become a "contradictio in terminus" We have one chance for peace. Just one chance This fighting and warring does no one any good and they are lucky if it does them no bad. Is it not yet time to bring God alive in every human being whether believers or unbelievers and stop this "God is Great" that seems to motivate people to take the life of others in the name of a God whose major attribute is Goodness par excellence? Of course, I am only one voice and an insignificant one for that matter but this insignificant man foresees a more bloody 2015 if we do not change our general conciousness. We must have to live with the fact that no man or woman is better than the other. We are all humans and we are all under the same universal principle of goodness. If we chose to embrace the way of peace, love and sharing then 2015 will be the best year of our life and the time to make that choice is now because later will be too late. Happy New Year My Friends
