Everyone who read it shouted outrage except the one who wrote it.
"Time to emigrate. A swollen negro who does not speak Swedish...Which country's song contest was ???"
Those were the words of Ulf Mohlin Fagerstöm, the marketing manager of the handball team- H43 in Lund, Sweden. For the benefits of doubts, these phenomenal description was direct to a man by name Swingfly, who happened to be a participant in the ongoing Swedish musical festival. The issue is not just what was said but how and where it was said. This was a post on his facebook page.
When Mr Ulf Fagerström was contacted by a Swedish Daily (Sydsvenskan ), the report goes that he closed his facebook page from the public and when he was reached to comment on the post he described it thus 'It was a joke between me and my friends'.Who wouldn't understand such a joke between friends before more than 50 million audience by a mature man who by chance happens to be a model for a handball team.
Viewed as an isolated case, this may seem to be a special exception but come closer and you will know more. When you look at some antecedents you will understand that a trend is gradually evolving in Sweden and yet people keep a blind eye. It doesn't matter who was attacked but for what reason. Why was Swingfly attacked? HE IS BLACK of course, otherwise, he is not more Swollen than most European or African men.
It is for a reason not far from this that a man in Malmö was going around shooting people from Africa. The police refused to disclose neither the motif nor the preliminary court proceedings of the case. However, the father was quoted as saying that his son "lived in fear of immigrants taking over Swedish society." XENOPHOBIA.
This sounds like a halve truth but it is almost an absolute truth otherwise, what could explain why a racists party has 20 representatives in modern Swedish parliament. Gradually what led to the massacre in the 40s is growing and no one is looking or rather a lot of people (especially those who have authority) are looking the other way.
My stand is still yet to come...
To be continued.
