TIME TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT or TO HANG ON?

A friend of mine once wrote that when the people that surround you always make you to compromise, it is either that it is time for you to stamp your personality or time to move on. You know, we always think that the possibility of people to change is really big but the truth is, the possibility of people changing is almost as wide as the possibility of their remaining the same. 

Come to think of it, those who change are those who think that there is something in them that has been outgrown by the old world and old realities they have been living in. What about those who think that the world and realities around them is perfect or as it should be, do they also believe that they should have a change? Of course not and that makes it difficult. 

I talk about myself now. I have lived in the world where I believed that everything is the way it should be but now I am living in a world that I believe that nothing is ever perfect even the word perfect because there is no guarantee that everyone spells it correctly. Nevertheless, when I look in your direction, it is because there are some significant things about you that I cherish. When I look away from you after looking at you for a long time, it is because I have seen that even though you have a lot of good in you, there is little from you that can bring a progressive change in my life.

Of course, I can just turn away and end the view in focus but I am holding on because sometimes we may be making our decisions too fast and as such have a higher possibility of missing some details.

You can’t imagine how complicated we humans are can you? Maybe or maybe not: Come to think of it, of all things born and living we are the weakest, yet when we are pushed to some limits either to save ourselves or the one (s) we love, we act more powerfully than the most powerful of all creation.

It is this idea that makes me to leave some vulnerability in me when I am in love with someone even when that person seem to think that I am a jerk, coward, idiot or maybe stupid. I can accept being seen this way by someone I love but I still can pull up a surprise she or anyone who knows us will find difficult to believe. 

From my perspective, if someone is in love with another, that person has chosen to accept your madness, weakness and strength, but also he or she has decided to tell you the bitter truths about yourself that he or she may not have told you if you were just friends. The idea is to help each other to be better. But…

I think when you come to the point where those you love make you constantly to compromise, not to aspire for perfection, then, induce a radical change. If the change comes by, then you have a future together, if things remain the same, then it is a strong signal to know that another has taken your position or is about to or maybe you worth just a little presently. The best thing to do then is to take another turn before it becomes too late.

You have to realize that when people insist that you change, they really mean that they want you to adjust your life or behavior. They do not really mean that you have to be someone else but to make some personality shift, (without compromising your core identity) for without adjustment no one can live with another and with total personality lose, no one can truly live with another. At least, that is what i think. 

Friends, life is a long, Long journey, no matter the amount of preparation you have made for it, you must stop and catch some breath or you will be completely worn out .
